PTE logo

Pi Theta Epsilon is the national honor society for occupational therapy students and alumni. This society recognizes and encourages superior scholarship among students enrolled in undergraduate and entry-level graduate programs of Occupational Therapy across the United States. Many of the professions’ leaders are members of the various Pi Theta Epsilon Chapters around the country.

Pi is the first letter of the Greek word for advancement.
Theta is the first letter of the Greek word for therapeutic.
Epsilon is the first letter of the Greek word for occupation.

Membership

The Alpha Eta Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon was established at USC in 1991. Candidates are selected for membership based upon their academic standing within the top 35% of their class (after two semesters of full-time study), their demonstrated leadership, and their scholarly attributes.

PTE at USC sponsors events throughout the academic year to promote student scholarship, showcase student and faculty research, and engage in interdisciplinary work.
