Missouri State University seeks applications and nominations for the position of Director of the entry-level Master in Occupational Therapy Program.
The new Program Director will have an innovative vision for a new program with great potential for growth and development. The 12-month tenure-eligible position will begin July 1, 2014. Start date can be negotiated.
Required qualifications include: an earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, OTD, or equivalent in a related field) – candidates currently completing a doctoral program and whose degree will be conferred prior to June 2015 will be considered; a minimum of eight years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy that includes: clinical practice as an occupational therapist; administrative experience including but not limited to, program planning and implementation, personnel management, evaluation, and budgeting; scholarship consistent with appointment as a tenure-track faculty member; and at least three years of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the postsecondary level; certification as an occupational therapist by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri; effective interpersonal and communication skills needed to lead a team toward goal achievement and evidence of effective leadership experience; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of multicultural and diversity issues.
