Faculty
Our faculty has brought in more than $14 million in funding from federal agencies including NICHD (NCMMR), NIA, NIDRR, BMCH, and the CDC with research emphases on health disparities and cultural boundaries that impact healthcare, the prevention of chronic disease and disability in the elderly, rehabilitation science, lifestyle interventions, and sensory processing and integration including their impact on autism, child development, and everyday social engagement. On our faculty are experts in translational research approaches involving randomized clinical trials, both qualitative and quantitative data analytic strategies, and functional magnetic resonance imaging. And our program in rehabilitation science has been launched in conjunction with the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy and the School of Engineering which affords the opportunity to explore robotics and virtual reality as well as other technological innovations that may benefit the lives of people with disabilities. |
